Lovely outdoor bath overlooking the river.

The location was quite challenging, taking about 20 minutes by bus to the town center where all the restaurants are. The free shuttle service was helpful, but if you get hungry late in the evening, your only option is a Family Mart nearby. I was disappointed that the nearby restaurants close early, so I felt a bit stranded during my stay.

I had an amazing time enjoying the free ramen and traditional kimono during my stay. The relaxing open-air bath and the public bath were perfect after a long day of exploring. I had such a great time wandering to the Takayama Museum of History and Art, which is just over 2 km away, and taking in the beautiful Unryuji Temple, around 2 km from the hotel, making the exploration effortless and delightful, especially with the friendly staff and the cozy indoor and outdoor baths to relax in after a day of walking. however, it would be more convenient if the shuttle bus offered more frequent service than once per hour.

The staff was super friendly and always ready to help. The onsen was awesome, with both indoor and open-air baths to relax in. The room had everything like air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, and even a refrigerator. Free shuttle service made getting to Takayama station a breeze. Breakfast had plenty of veggie options and hearty dishes too.

The breakfast offered a great variety that we enjoyed every morning. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to help. Having a free shuttle bus available to the town center was very convenient for exploring.

The bath towel was a little too thin for my liking.
